Please join us on Friday, October 17 when the Office of Alumni Engagement and the SRU Alumni Association will recognize Distinguished Alumni Award Recipients who have reached the highest level of professional accomplishment and the Past Presidents Service Award winner, given to an alum that has demonstrated tireless volunteerism on behalf of the Alumni Association and University. Alumni and friends of the Department of Strategic Communication and Media (formally Communication) are invited to kick off homecoming weekend with an alumni mixer and the annual Communication & Media Hall of Fame ceremony on Friday, Oct. 17.
The ceremony will celebrate current and incoming SRU Communication and Media Hall of Fame inductees and award winners. The alumni mixer begins at 2:30 p.m. and the ceremony will begin at 3:30 p.m. Tickets include admission and refreshments. All extra proceeds benefit the undergraduate students in the Department of Strategic Communication and Media.

Students and alumni are invited to kick Homecoming Weekend off with laughter! Jordan is a self-proclaimed nerd who loves to talk about movies, superheroes, and theme parks. At the start of his career, he struggled to fit in and tried to be what everyone else thought he should be instead of being who he is authentically. “You genuinely crack me up.” That’s what Simon Cowell said after watching Jordan Conley‘s performance in his AGT audition. He’s a lead in a movie on Disney +, Under Wraps 2, and is the co-host with Bear Grylls on the game show, I Survived Bear Grylls, on Max. Jordan brings fast paced, high energy comedy that’s not just for adults, it’s for the whole family.
