Paul Novak, executive director, Facilities, Planning and Environmental Safety

The rapid spread of COVID-19 has affected all aspects of our daily lives from receiving health care to getting groceries. The medical science of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease is as common a news item as the weather forecast. It is very easy for the general public to become confused and frustrated with contradicting reports from various medical professionals and researchers. This educational session will provide attendees with basic concepts of how our bodies fight diseases, including sanitation and disinfection, and preventive measures which serve as the basis of maintaining public health during a global pandemic.
